Flower horn fish not well

I have a 6 months old flower horn fish and is not active. It settles down the bottom of the tank and seldom swims.

Hi Soundar,

This could be a swim bladder disorder.  It could also be several other things, so I need more information.

Does he sit upright or does he lay on his side?

Does he come up for food or always sit in the same place?

Check water quality and make sure the filter is cleaning the water appropriately.  A good way to check is to take out half a cup of water and put it in a white bowl.  Is it see-through?  If not, you have too much waste in the water.

But, there are other causes of fish laying on the bottom.  Can you send me a photo please?
