marineland 200 bio wheel

Hello I have a 46 gallon with a marineland 200 bio-wheel filter. recently someone told me that my filter is way to small and that I should add another one. Is that true, thanks

PS I don't have the budget for another large filter but I could get a filter for a 30 gallon

Your marineland filter can filter up to 50 gal so you really don't need to add another. However, adding more or improving filtration is not bad.  The only thing is that with another strong filter you risk creating a current that the fish you have may not like, or even stress them out.  If your fish appear healthy and active, you do water changes like you are supposed to, and you don't overfeed your fish, then I say don't fix what's not broken.  You are doing a great job.
