Snails trapped in castle

Question
Hi.  We have two snails in a small fish tank and they appear to keep getting trapped in a castle on the bottom of the tank.  After a day or so, I pull them out and they cruise around the tank for 1-3 days then get "stuck" in the castle again.  Do you think they are getting stuck and we should remove the castle or are they just taking a break and I should leave them alone.  Thanks.

They just like it in there I guess. Since they are able to get in, they should also be able to get out on their own too if they really want to. Snails tend to be nocturnal too so they probably like the darkness. If it worries you too much take the castle out.
