Question
hi we had a power cut a few weeks ago since then our molly fish have not been looking well one has a swollen eye and a couple have fungus like stuff appearing on there bodies and they seem to be swimming at the top of the tank or right at the bottom we have changed the water but doesn't seem to be helping

Answer
Ajmail,

Since these are Molly's, adding salt to the tank might be beneficial to them. 1 tablespoon for every 5 gallons is the ratio to use. If they are at the top, it usually means the oxygen level is low. Adding an air stone will help that. Do not do 100% water changes. 25% is best. Let me know how they are doing after adding the aquarium salt. Make sure you follow the directions on the box. Do a good gravel cleaning as well. The salt will help them out a lot. If possible, can you get me a photo of the sick fish? You can upload it here in the question.
