my fish looks smooth and it's tail looks smaller. it used to be fanned out now it's tail is tiny.

What kind of fish is it? What size tank is it in? What are the water perimeters as far as ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates. How many fish are in the tank? How long has it been running? Sounds like fin rot but I cannot be sure. I need as much information as you can give me. I will wait to hear back from you.
