Pink Kissing Gourami attacking other fish

Question
Hi Jaymie,
This is the third day we've had our aquarium and with a few troubles of mixing fish in the beginning my boyfriend and I thought we might have the situation figured out. This morning when we woke up, however, our smaller pink kissing Gourami has been chasing and nipping at the other fish. We have two of the pink kissers, a fan tail, a Ryuken, a Pleco, and a black moor. The main fish the pink kisser keeps attacking is the black moor, and the fan tail on occasion, but mainly it's the black moor. I just need to know what we should do to keep the majority of our fish alive. Thanks!

Answer
LeighAndra,

Sorry to hear you are having some issues with the fish. The problem I see is the tank fish themselves. Your fantail, black moor, and your Ryukin are all goldfish. These are cold water fish. Your pink kissing Gourami's are tropical fish. This means they need their water warm, between 75 and 80 degrees. These last 2 fish should not be in that tank with the goldfish. Your pleco is also a warm water fish. I would recommend removing the 3 fish as soon as possible and putting them in a 20 gallon tank with filter and heater. Once you have done that, there should be no more problems.
