Question
hello,
I have a 55 gallon new tank, that has been set up for about 3 weeks now, all fish are new, 3 angelfish, 5 Tetras, 5 Rasboras, 1 Pleco, 1 Blood Parrot.  About 1 week ago I had a clown loach in the tank and noticed about 3 or 4 white spots on his tail, I new it was ich, so i removed him into his own tank and treated him, hes fine now.  My other fish seem to be doing ok in the main tank, no signs of ich or white spots, but I seen by blood parrot rubbing his body on a rock ornament, not all the time, only seen it once.  Do yo think my other fish have ich, I thought I caught it early enough with the clown loach since he only had a few white spots before I removed him.  All other fish are eating well, and seem to have no spots.

Answer
If there are no visible signs of disease I would not be concerned about it. Yes, rubbing on rocks and decor can be a sign of disease but it may also just mean there was an itch or by accident. Watch them closely as ick is always present in fish water even if the fish do not have anything. The fish only get the ick when they are sick or stressed. If all fish are eating well and have no outside signs I would not be concerned about it. Just keep a close eye on them for a while to make sure nothing develops. Good luck.
