Beta fin problem

Hi there,

I have a Beta fish kept in a good sized glass vase.  I noticed a gray spot on his fin and assumed it was caused by stress so I made sure I changed the water on a weekly basis with Stess Coat drops.  Well the gray spot turned into a lump and now the lump has burst and it looks white with a small sore at the center.  Can you help with the diagnosis and treatment?  I can also send photos if necessary.
