Betta mirror

Hi Amber,

I would like to know if i should put a mirror up against my bettas tank so he can flare up at it.And if i should how long should i leave it there.

Hello Ben-

Putting a mirror on the outside of the tank is fine, and is actually good for your fish. Flaring helps the blood circulate through the fins and gives your guy something to do.

I'd only leave it there for 30 minutes or so, as he may get stressed out or lose interest. Don't put the mirror in the tank, or he may crash against it and hurt himself.
