hose end chlorine filter

Question
A few months ago I found a website that had directions for a simple chlorine filter for the end of a water hose to fill aquariums and outdoor ponds with water minus the chlorine. I gave the info that I printed out from the web page so he could make me one of the filters, and he lost it. I can not find it any where now. Can you think of some websites that I may be able to find it again? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you. Please send reply to shyrock52@netscape.com

Answer
Hi Sarah,
Basically, charcoal will remove chlorine (for a little while).  Here's the problem.  The more water you pass through the charcoal, the less able it is to remove chlorine.  So, depending on how much water you use, and how much charcoal you put in the filter, you may find yourself changing the charcoal quite frequently.

I don't have any specific plans on how to do this but in theory it is very simple: just connect the hose from the wall to a charcoal canister and then connect your water hose to the cannister.
