QuestionI have 3 Jaguar cichlids, unknown sexes. One laid eggs, then the other two paired up and laid eggs on the other side of the tank. How do I know if any of them are fertilized? It appears that they are turning white.

It is possible that all three are females, however, male and female jaguars do look a little different. A female has a more distinct horizontal stripe running down the side of the body. Males have a reticulated pattern of markings, particularly on the head. If you send me photos of the fish (to the address below), I may be able to tell you which sex they are.
