Question
Ron,
I currently have two 2' EBJD in a 55 gallon tank which one has signs of hole in the head.  I did a 30% water change and they will only eat frozen blood worms.  So diet is difficult.  Should I use a treatment on my tank yet or wait?  Do you know what the safest treatment would be?(expensive fish)?  I really really apreciate your advice I really don't know what to do.  Thanks again,
Tim

Answer
Hi Tim,
When you said you did a 30% water change, does this mean that you normally don't do regular water changes?  With cichlids, you need to be changing 20-25% of the water once a week, EVERY week to keep them healthy.

The best treatment for hole in the head is water changes.
