my platy

Question
Hi,I have one female platy and yesterday i noticed that there was one little baby platy in the tank, i was wondering if you could tell me how many babies she might have.

Hi Jess,
 It could range from one to thirty or more.  It depends on many things, including the size and age of the female.  She may also have given birth to more and then she or another fish in the tank may have eaten some of the babies.  Platies do not care for their kids after birth so a baby platy is considered fair game as food.
