Hi How can you tell if a balloon molly is pregnant? Don't say it will have a gravid spot because my balloon molly is full black.

Even though she is black, you will still be able to see the gravid spot. Here are a few other ways to determine if she is pregnant.

Do you have a male in the tank with your female molly?
Is she getting "fatter" or "boxy" in appearance?
Is she acting lathargic and hiding somewhere near the bottom of the tank?

Remember, your molly can hold on to sperm for 6 months.
