Question
How fast do goldfish normally breath

Answer
Hi Kyle,
To be honest, I have never watched and counted that.  When a fish is feeling normal you really don't see signs that it is breathing. It is only when a fish is stressed due to chasing, predators, or lack of oxygen that you really see it "pumping its gills", i.e., moving the gill plate in and out to increase water flow over the gills.
