My female is scared of the Male Betta

Question
Ok my little sister got a Betta and he blew a bubble nest for my female, so I put her in the tank. At first the female would follow the male around and she would nip at hiim. So he made a HUGE bubble nest and the male just hangs under there like he is waiting for her, but when the female goes under there he would chase her out from under the nest.  Why is he doing this?

PS. My female is ready to spawn(I see all signs)

Answer
Hey Perdita!

Well male Bettas are very aggressive so thats why he is chasing her away.

Take her out for a day and let the male calm down then out her back in and leave her there for a maximum of two hours incase she does spawn ands he attacks her as this happens all the time.  The female will lay her eggs, the male will put them in a bubble nest and will chase the female away from the nest and attack her so it is crucial you take her out after spawning.

Hope this helps!    Jack
