listless little beta

Question
I've had my beta for almost a year now, always in the same location, same temp. water, etc. etc., and he's always been quite spunky and loves to eat! Today I came in the office and he's listless and looks very bloated. He won't eat and when he does move around, he looks like he's going to topple over onto his side. His fins look fine as does his coloring, and he does not seem to be laboring in his breathing. Anything I can do to help him?

  Sadly, I suspect he is just getting old.  Bettas don't live that long.  In the meantime, I would do a good water change to make sure that his water is as good as it can be.
