Hungry fish

Question
Why does it seem like my fish are always starving? I have been feeding them twice a day now for a week. As soon as I turn on their lights, they go NUTS. They can't possibly be that hungry.

I have all platys in both my tanks and I have a couple of females that are pregnant, so I don't want them to be hungry. Any suggestions. Thanks in advance, for any advice you can offer.

Platys are like puppy dogs.  They will eat till they burst, lol.

Laurie, your platy need fed ONE time a day, only enough that they eat in one minute. They will get used to the ritual eventually.  Too much food (more than once a day) is the cause of major tank disasters.

They're not hungry. It's a perpetual thing.
