Question
recently I bred my betas. My female now appears to be swollen with eggs.  However I had to remove her from the male because he was harming her too badly.  Will she lay her eggs on her own?  Will she be sick if they don't?  How do I treat her now?

Answer
Hi Eli;

She's just fine on her own. She won't lay the eggs by herself but will re-absorb them into her body. You might even try another male. They can't be kept together all the time though. Only put them into the same tank after they can see each other through separate tanks for a few days and the male builds his nest. Remove her after they spawn, or like before, if they fight and don't seem to want to breed together just take her out. Not every male and female betta are compatible. Or, sometimes one or the other isn't actually ready and you just have to keep trying.

Good luck...
