Hi Lynda. I would love to see blue whales out in the ocean. You've seen them out there? I have been to greece too. My friend has picked the cory catfish up along with the fry. She said thank you and was very proud of me just like you said she would be. She said Rex, the one that died was quite old and she had him for a good few years. She has asked me how Rudolph was today but I don't know what to tell her because she loved Rudolph and those two were best friends. He loved her. What do I tell her? The cory are back with my friend now. I told her I had help with the fry and all the other cory fish. When I open the lid of my tank to feed Dasher and Comet Dasher has figured out how to jump out of my tank and I haven't filled it right to the top either. Luckily I mange to catch him and put him back in. All I know is he will die if he gets too dry and I don't want to lose any more fish. I am doing the water changes as you suggested and it is slowly improving. It is takining a long time though. You said it would take a few weeks though didn't you? I had a weird experience today. I was talking to the fish when I looked at the filter and saw Rudolph coming towards me and then he vanished within a few seconds. The PH and ammonia and nitrates are all fine. I need to get some plants for them though. I did a bit more raising awareness of goldfish on friday and they laughed at me again. I have got an Abba song stuck in my head at the minute. The song is Vouse le vouse by Abba and I think vouse le vouse is french but I'm not sure. thank you for the information on Betta fish. Maybe I will wait until I can get a heated tank for Betta fish and catfiish. The fish are doing great. I have just been a bit unlucky with fish lately haven't I? Friday 13th on fryday. Last time we had a friday the 13th I had a lot of bad luck. All the books in the library at college fell on me so remind me not to go near any books or anything that could fall on me on friday.

Hi Danielle,
I see the whales every summer, it's a small drive to where they are.  They are not in the ocean, but in the St-Lawrence river, at the mouth of the Saguenay River.  The bottom of these rivers are salty, but very cold.  They are very deep rivers.  Where I live, "The Bay" which is on the Saguenay River we even see small sharks.  They are not bad, and I've been swimming in this bay all my life, and there has never been an attack.  
I knew your friend would be proud of you, I am too...what a good job you have done!!
The song you are talking about is "Voulez Vous" .. Now I have it in my head..lol
It takes time for water to become clear.  Don't worry as long as your ammonia, and nitrates are safe.  It will bounce back to clear, but it will take time.
