Question
HIS LEFT EYE TURNED WHITE A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO. WE THOUGHT HE BUMPED IT ON A ROCK BUT 2DAY HIS RIGHT EYE HAS TURNED WHITE . WE CONTACTED OUR LOCAL PET STORE THEY SAID IT MAY BE AMMONIA BURN DOES THAT SOUND RIGHT ? IF SO HOW CAN WE FIX IT?

Answer
HI Lisa,
Cloudy eyes are usually the result of either attacks by another fish or poor water quality.  Assuming that it isn't attacks by another fish, your best bet is to increase your water changing habits.  In general, you should be changing 25% of the water in the tank, once a week, every week. In the short term, you should do 25% water changes for the next three days or so.
