about my fishy!

not sure if you can help, but i have a fish i won at a carnival, not sure what kind but i have had him for almost a year and just recently he has been hanging out at the bottom of the tank, i noticed he had one of his rocks from the bottom of his tank in his mouth, he can't spit it out.  so , will this dissolve in his mouth and is he hanging out at the bottom because the pebble is stuck in his mouth? i think th efish is a carp, he used to be dark brown when we kept him in the pond out back, then we moved him indoors and he changed colors.  Please tell me what i can to do to help my lil' fish! thanks amanda

ps. i don't think the fish is sick, he swims fast and frequently, but it's almost like he gets tired because the pebble is restricting his breathing, maybe?

hello...hmm i havent really heard of a fish with a pebble in its mouth he could just be layen low in the dark cause he dosnt like light? what i might suggest is picking up the fish and hold him upside down and wiggle him slitly and see if he spits the pebble out! if not iam not sure what to do? the reason he changed color is becuase of his envoronment... thats all. hope this helps if you have any more questions feel free to ask
