cichlid cant swim right

Hello,
My 8 yr old Cichlid lays on its side and cant get upright. Its been a month. He still eats a little and hasn't lost any weight. Ive tried supporting him against structure but he just moves away. Any suggestions?

Hi Doug,
 Sadly it sounds like he is loosing control of his swim bladder -- the organ that a fish uses to stay upright.  There isn't anything that I know of that you can do about this.  Sorry.
