hi Lyn.- its Laura ((the fish with the bubble))- ok that story is over ..now I have a new question . I lost the bubble fish 2 days after the bubble dissapearred  so I went and bought a pretty little female betta. well the beauty that I have wont accept her and I dont no what to do . i pput her in a glass inside of his tank so they can get used to one another but that dont look like its workin ?? when can i put them 2gether without worryn that Red is goin to hurt her>shes so small next to him also < will the male actually hurt the female ! Hi Laura,
You will never be able to put two bettas together.  The male will kill her.  You will have to put your new beauty in another tank.  Bettas are siamese fighting fish.  The only time you can put a male, and a female together would be if you wanted to breed them, and even then you must never take your eyes off them during the spawn.  The female always comes out of it hurt, ragged, and very weak.  Even two females will not get along so well.  There is always a dominant one. You must take her out as soon as possible.  Bettas can jump, so be very careful.
