Question
My first fish tank. One fish got really fat.I thought the other fish would eat her babies. So i had another tank i had two fish in  plus a flat head fish that sucked on things. Took them all out.I put the fish that i thought was going to have babies in there.Went away on a overnight trip. I was right babies.lots this fish has a mickey mouse face on his tail.do Did i have to move the fish in the first place. Would she have been fine? can i put the suckerfish back in?and the babies wil be ok?  i also wanted put bottom feeder in. is that ok?

Answer
Hi Jan,
You were right to move the pregnant fish to a separate tank.  She would have been fine in the other tank, but the babies would likely have been eaten.  I would not put any fish (suckermouth or otherwise) in with the babies until they grow for at least several weeks.
