platy is hiding

hi, I would really love it if you could tell me why my platy is hiding under a rock it was fine until i got a Dalmatian molly and since then its been kind of still and not moving alot it only comes up to the top when i put fish flakes in the 10 gallon tank i have. i have the stuff i need like a light hood correct temperature and a bottle of stress coat and a top fin filter Iam afraid that it might be dyeing what can i do to help

Hi Frederick,
  Most likely, the Dalmation molly has been attacking the platy and that is why the platy is hiding. You have several options: you can remove one of the fish.  Alternatively, you can add more structure (rock, wood, plants) to the tank to break up the space.  That will make it more likely for the two fish to coexist in peace.
