figure 8 puffer fish

Question
i have a figure 8 puffer fish and i was told they could live in either fresh,
brackish or salt water and im not sure which to put mine in they are in fresh
water now but ive been reading alot online and i keep seeing they need brackish
water. Do you know?

Hi Victoria,
  I am not an expert on puffers but brackish seems most appropriate to me.   The most important thing is never to change his water rapidly. If he is in fresh, move him gradually (over a period of weeks) to brackish. Definitely do not just do this overnight.
