My oranda has a lump on his abdomen

Question
Help!
I havebeen scouring websites and cannot figure out what to do with my oranda.  I think he had bacterial swim bladder two weeks ago (the other fish died from it). I treated him for this with interpret anti bacterial no 9 and melafix, put him in a hospital tank and be the end of last week he was fine again. I had performed water changes in the tank to get rid of an accumulation of green algae that was impossible to keep on top of, the ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and ph levels are now fine, the filter is fine and the tank clean.  I put him back in the tank on Monday and on Tuesday a small lump had appeared on the bottom of his abdomen.  It has grown atleast twice (maybe three times) the size in three days.  I have treated him with the anti bacterial stuff and melafix again, his poop is ridiculously long, he is swimming fine but is also sitting at the bottom of the tank more than usual.
What do I do? I suspect it may be terminal......

Answer
Hey Louise,

things do sound kinda like an abnormal growth or tumor. If it changes to a red color, or looks like a red sore, then treat for internal parasites. You could have interpreted SBD for parasites, and should adjust your treatments accordingly.

Hope this helps, and i'm sorry to hear about your fish!
