QuestionHi! I recently bought some tropical fish, including a pair of severum. SInce yesterday evening, I sound sluggish movements in one of them with a swollen belly accompanied with a lack of appetite. This evening, the diseased fish stopped fallping its fins and finally stopped breathing. Would you please advise me on some reasons why the fish did not survive ? Is there any specific action/medication to be taken with the second fish of this kind ?
Thanks
Jacintha Francis
AnswerHi Jacintha,
Did the fish appear to have any physical wounds, e.g., scars or missing scales? It is most likely that it was attacked by another fish.
[I am assuming that your tank has been properly set up and fully cycled, and that you didn't just put fish in a new tank.]
