my pretty red betta fish

Hi there! I need to know what fruits/veggies I can feed to
my little betta fish, Ruby Rose.  I'd like to give her a
little homegrown tomato- safe?  

Guess what?  She blows her own bubble nest!!  And, I am 100%
positive she is a female because I have seen her lay her
eggs, and then eat many of them!  I heard this is very
unusual - is it so?  I rescued her from a certain death at
Walmart last year.  I'd like to give her a treat now and
then, but am not into the typical blood worms and larvae -
so how 'bout a tomato - or even some fruit flies?

Hi Mare,
  She really doesn't need/want fruits and/or vegetables. She probably cannot digest those anyway.  So, I would not give her any tomato.  Fruit flies would be okay.
