White balls?

Question
I have two betta fish (male and female) in a 5 gallon tank with a divider down the middle. I left the room for about an hour and when I came back weird little white balls were all over my female betta's side. There is nothing like this on my male's side...... the balls are a little bigger than a grain of sand, and are a snow white. My female has none of the balls on her and seems to be fine.
What in the world are these?

Your betta laid eggs! If your male builds a bubble nest, and your female's anal fin turns bright red, pull out the divider, and they should mate and you'll have tons of betta fry to raise! :) as for now, try to get the unfertle eggs out before they rot and ruin the tank water. Best wishes!
