Blue Gourami strange behaviour.

Question
Hello. My name is Jerrica. I have a Blue Gourami who has been acting a bit strange for the past two days. He likes to keep in a small concave portion of rock and takes his time coming to the surface, only to snatch some air before descending again. He hasn't ate much. I feed him dry flakes, and dry worms. The temperature is kept near 80, 25 g, One small angel fish, who doesn't bother him, a danio, a female betta, and a male betta, whom also doesn't bother him.

Answer
Hello Jerrica-

Gouramis can get very timid as they age. It's probably due to failing eyesight. I have one who will nearly crash through the glass anytime the lights go on.

I can only say to keep up with the schedule he's used to, and maybe push the flakes under water so they sink and he can snatch them without "exposing" himself.

Hope this is useful, and sorry I can't offer better advice.
