Question
Hi, I have had Betta fish for years and usually like to keep a female with the male for company.  I have seen many bubble nests but never any real breeding.  After all these years, I noticed with my latest pair that there has been serious mating display and then eggs appeared.  I removed the female and now I have fry all over my tank.  I just removed the male too, but have no idea how to care for the fry.  Any help?

Answer
Hello Shane-

Aw! You're lucky! I bred a pair of my bettas and only ended up with one little guy...

Anyways, fry food can be purchased online or at pet stores, and usually includes live food. This can be daphnia, baby brine shrimp, or infusoria. You can grow infusoria at home by placing some lettuce in water in direct sunlight. The water, after a day, should look cloudy (but not milky) and you may be able to see little things swimming around. Feed this to the fry.

Hope this is helpful!
Enjoy your babies!
