Hi Megan
i received an aviary for christmas, and have a few budgies and just bought two finches. how can i tell the difference between a male or female?
and do they need anything specific when they breed or just in general?
when is a good time to take baby finches out of the aviary (as to not get inter-bred birds)?

You shouldn't mix parrots with finches. Budgies are much bigger than finches and can easily kill them.
It really depends on the species of birds to determine what sex they are. Without knowing their species I can't tell you.
As long as they have plenty of food and clean water, a nest, and plenty and of nesting material, you'll be good
