Question
Hi, my question is simple. i have 2 pairs of parakeets in one cage. i have 2 nesting box on the same cage. i was able to hatch 2 eggs (3 more to go) already on the 1st nesting box. i now have 2 eggs on the 2nd box. it appears that everythings doing fine. my question is, is it ok for me to continue this set up cause there seems to be no problem with the birds. or should i really need to separate the 2 pairs?

Answer
As long as there are no problems, you shouldn't need to separate them.  Because they have separate nests, it should be alright.  The only time you really need to worry is when two females fight over the same nest.  The females are the only ones you need to watch because they get very protective and possessive, but as long as they're doing okay, I wouldn't worry.
