Question
our bugies seem to lose a lot of small feathers daily ,thier are two of them male female they seem to have alove hate thing for each other . is there anything we can do?

Answer
Hi,

If you do not notice any bare patches on the birds, then they should just be molting (a natural process that all birds go through twice a year where they loose their old feathers and get brand new ones). Molting is a gradual process though, so you should never see bare patches of skin on your bird.

If they are picking on each other to the point that they are pulling out each others feathers, I would recommend seperating them (to make sure they aren't loosing feathers for other reasons- such as plucking, disease, poor diet, etc..). Once seperated, the problem (bare patches of skin) should go away- if it doesn't, they need to see an avian vet asap.

I hope this helps.
