Question
This morning I noticed my female cockateil sneezing and she sounds a little stuffy. Is this something I should worry about?

Answer
Hello Erin.  Thank you for your post.
It sound like she is getting a cold or possibly a respiratory infection.
Try taking her into the bathroom, close the door, and run the hot water in the shower.  Do not let her go into the water, you just want the steam in the room.  This should help loosen up the congestion in her chest, and if she is getting a build up in her nose, this will help loosen that up too.  You can also put a vaporizer in the room that she is in.
The main thing to do right now is to get some moisture into the air.
Also, make sure that there is absolutely no draft where she is at.
She will probably sneeze more, but you should notice a change in her in a few days.
If you do not notice any change, or if she seems like she's getting worse, get her into an Avian Vet.  She may need some antibiotics.

Please keep me informed on how she's doing.

Good luck and God Bless.
