Male and Female Birds

Question
Hello.
I've heard that if male and female birds are placed in separate cages, the female birds will remain indifferent to change yet the males will eventually begin chasing after each other and was curious as to how truthful that really was.
I've only owned one bird in my life, a parakeet, so I haven't much first hand experience.

Thank you.

Answer
Hi, Melissa.  Thanks for posting!

I do not understand your question...don't understand what you mean by "indifferent to change yet the males will eventually begin chasing after each other."  To begin with, this appears to be a generalization that doesn't take into consideration the individual personalities of birds, and I've never heard of such a thing (but doesn't mean it isn't true as I don't know everything about parrots).  Sounds like a statement made by someone who doesn't know much about birds.  Please clarify what you are asking.  Thanks.
