QuestionHi I know this is not your expertise but could you please give me your best advice. I have a poultry flock. This is the first time I have had peachicks. Some one in the flock has attacked 2 of my peachicks, both on the beak. I have removed the peachicks and they are doing okay but one bird has had the first third of it's upper beak broken off. It can drink and is eating a bit. It does not appear to have an infection but, I was wondering if it would be advisable to have it's lower beak trimmed. As it does not seem able to peck at food etc. What is your recommendation as I am looking for the best for the bird but at a reasonable price Thank you Pam
AnswerNormally with beak injuries it would be a trip to the vet, but I think a telephone to one is a wrong thing to do.
The other thing is that you need to have someone that has trimmed a beak before.
I'm not an expert, but I think there is not an answer for a reasonable price.
