my mom got me a cocktail hes about 3 years old and he has a mirror in the cage and is very attached to it,he gets mad if i go near it.id like to be able to handle him even talk to him but he freaks out. should i remove the mirror or maybe take out during the day and put back at night please help

I would remove the mirror completely. make sure he has a good amount of toys inside of the cage, possibly a cozy hut. He will need a very well rounded diet or fruits, veggies and grains. I suggest you join a bird forum called Avian Avenue. There you will get more ideas on handling, training, etc. from many people.
