baby ringneck

i just bought a baby indian ringneck, he is 8weeks old,  and i have limited experience in handling them. I am just wondering what to feed him. i have given him seed and fruit but he doesnt seem to eat them. Also, he sits in one place and doesnt move - should he be able to walk by now? what age will he start gripping things and sitting on perches? i just want to make sure that he is normal. Contact the place you bought the Indian Ringneck from and ask what they fed it.  You are giving him foods that make sense for a ringneck to eat.  

He should be sitting on a perch by now...he is definitely old enough.  Have things gotten better since you wrote?
