training on sand - good of hooves or not

hello sir. is training on sand good for horse hooves? INDIAN RACETRACKS have got a sand track and a grass track. we train horses on sand and race them on grass.

Running on sand or turf is "preference" !!
Sand IS and has ALWAYS been aggressive and abrasive !!

It CAN cause sand cracks and extreme dryness. Turf training and racing is excellent
not only for the hooves, but legs also.
