Question
hello, i read an article in internet that thrush affects only the hind feet of the horse. is it correct? why not the fore feet?

Answer
Hi there. :)  Thanks for your question. I'll try to answer as best I can.

Actually, Thrush is a very opportunistic bacteria formally known as Fusobacterium necrophorum. It lives in the dirt and seeks out anaerobic, damp places. If the horse's hoof is not formed or functioning properly then it is a target for Thrush -- doesn't matter if rear hooves or fronts or all 4.  So, I'd be interested in reading the article from the internet that says thrush affects only the hind feet. It is wrong. :(
