applying iodine solution all of a sudden

hello sir. is there any harm to the horse if i apply iodine solution to the sole all of a sudden?

WON'T hurt... but should only really be used for "below" the knee infections and of the hoof capsule, Yes !!

Word to the Wise"... a tame (2%) iodine is good on most problems. Strength up to 7% Can damage
healthy tissue.
