shoeing the horse prior to the race

hello sir. how many days prior to the race, should i shoe my horse with aluminum plates? i am expecting an optimum performance from the animal.

HELLO CAINE...THANKS FOR YOUR QUESTION...

IF & ONLY IF the one doing it (the farrier/plater) does NOT trim one too close,
and can shoe a nice comfortable hoof...I have shod running horses the day before and NEVER
had a problem !!  IF NOT...I would recommend at least a 3-4 days to a week should be ideal.
