horse with long pasterns on hind legs

hello sir. my horse has got long pasterns on both of its hind legs. would you suggest me to put wedge pads on the hind or leave them unshod for participating in FLAT RACING?`

Sorry I've been working out-of-state!!

I personally would leave the horse unshod...OR only put hind shoes on for alittle traction
OR protection.

Wedges have their place "Temporarily"... BUT will not help the angle in the hind hoof or
limb.  Remember... When using wedges, YOU are changing everything from the ground
surface up to the top of the limb !!
