riding/eventing my pregnant mare

Question
I was thinking of breeding my horse and I do know the research on costs. I was wondering how long can I ride my horse? I heard that people ride their horse until the horse says "no more". I do Team Penning/ cow sorting and was wondering if continuing that activity would be too much of a strain on her? Also, in the beginning stages of pregnancy, can the fetus be absorbed if the mare has too much activity?

Hi Brittany,
             They can be ridden, and just like humans, it is actually good for them to get exercise until they are too large to comfortably move. I would not do heavy riding past the first 7 months. If your mare is getting ridden prior to her getting in foal, then it would be very rare for the fetus to be absorbed.
