Finding registration papers on Arabian

Question
I purchased an arabian mare about a year ago and was told that she is double registered. Arab and Morgan I believe. She is supposed to be a Khemosabi daughter. I am trying to find her registration papers as the previous owners never sent them to us, and won't return calls. Can you help?

Answer
Hello Courtney,
You need to have markings on your mare first along with the age, color of the mare and previous owners, location, etc. You may need to take pictures of the mare to send to the registry.  If your mare has any white markings and is grey, wet the white areas and the pink skin should show up fine for the photos. Then, call the registry and give them this information.  They should be able to help you.  Your mare would be a Half Arabian or also could be called a Morab.  Be sure and inform the registry of the situation from the previous owners.  Perhaps the registry can encourage the former owners to release the papers to you.  I wish you the best of luck.
The phone number for the registry is (303)450-4748   www.theRegistry.org
