hello i wrote you a while back ago about my 4yr old nsh mare she is looking to be waxing im not sure if it is but if she is her milk isn't changing in color what should i do about that she has a jelly butt and elongated vulva it looks as though she is getting quite close.

Hi Isaac,

If she is waxing... then start keeping a close eye on her.  Some mare's milk will not change color prior to foaling.  Most do, but there are some that don't.
I have seen some mares wax a week before foaling, and some will wax just hours prior to foaling.
So, needless to say, if you knock the wax off her nipples and within a few hours it is back, you definitely want to be watching her closely!
