painting a turtle

I told my friend I didnt think she should paint her turtles shell but she dont believe me. Is it safe to paint it? and if not, why?

Hello Raphael,

You did the right thing to tell you're friend not to paint the shell.
It's pretty dangerous since the chemicals can do some really serious damage to the turtles breathing and lungs.

I highly recommend you're friend, NOT to paint.
